- Hiking: Ambleside is a gateway to some of the most scenic hikes in the Lake District. For a relatively easy yet rewarding trek, try the Loughrigg Fell. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding lakes and peaks. For more seasoned hikers, the Fairfield Horseshoe presents a more challenging route with stunning vistas. It's the only route we'll organise to go together.
- Waterhead: Just a short walk from the town center, Waterhead Pier offers cruises on Lake Windermere. You can also rent kayaks or paddleboards to explore the lake at your own pace.
- Stock Ghyll Force: A beautiful 70-foot waterfall located just a short walk from the town center. It’s particularly impressive after a rain, surrounded by lush woodland.

Speciality Products: In addition to the classic Grasmere gingerbread, the shop sells a variety of handmade regional foods, sweets and souvenirs. Gingerbread is a cross between a biscuit and a cake, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a strong ginger flavour.
